Notifications and alerts
MirrorFill tells you about seven things, on up to three channels: a toast in the app, an e-mail, and a Telegram message. This page covers all of it, including the one limit that matters more than any switch on it.
The seven alerts

The 80% warning is the one worth knowing about. It fires once per account per trading day, at the point where you can still do something, long before the limit closes the position for you. It re-arms at the 17:00 CT session roll, along with everything else the risk system tracks daily.
The disconnection alert is debounced. The copier's own reconnect backoff runs up to 30 seconds, so a connection that drops and comes straight back is routine. The alert waits out a short window first, and if the connection returns inside it, nothing is sent at all. If the loss was reported, the recovery is reported too.
The forced logout alert is not debounced: after one, nothing reconnects on its own, so there is no recovery to wait for, and the mail goes out immediately. See Rithmic session conflicts.
Where to control them
Everything lives in Settings → Notifications, one row per alert, with a switch per channel.
In-app toasts come from the live event feed, and the alerts bell in the topbar keeps recent ones so a toast you missed is not gone. Two things about them:
- A risk breach toast is sticky: it stays until you dismiss it, because it already closed positions or is telling you to.
- A warning toast is not. Nothing has happened yet, and a warning you have to dismiss teaches you to dismiss the breach too.
These switches are per-browser. If you trade from two machines, set them on each.
E-mail switches are per-alert and stored on your account, so they follow you everywhere. Every alert type is on by default (an alert you never chose is still the one you are most likely to need), and every alert e-mail carries a one-click link that turns all of them off at once. Two conditions apply to every alert e-mail: your address must be verified, and the operator must have alert e-mail switched on for the deployment.
Telegram
If a Telegram bot is configured on your deployment, Settings → Notifications leads with a Telegram card and a Connect button. Tapping it opens Telegram, and the link carries a signature only MirrorFill can produce. You do not type anything, and nobody else can link their chat to your account. That link is good for 24 hours; if it goes stale, open Settings again and use the button for a fresh one. The card updates itself the moment Telegram confirms, so there is nothing to reload.
One rule, and it is deliberate: a linked Telegram chat receives every alert type. The per-event switches govern e-mail only. Fine-grained choice is useful in an inbox and noise on a phone, and half a notification stream is worse than none. Unlinking is how you stop Telegram, and the Unlink button is in the same place.
If the Connect button will not work for you (a desktop client that refuses the link, a locked-down network), there is a fallback under it: open a chat with the bot, message @userinfobot on Telegram, and paste the numeric chat ID it replies with. We then send a confirmation message to that chat, and the link is only saved if it arrives. A pasted number proves nothing on its own, so delivery is the check. It links against the same bot; you are never asked to create one of your own.
Appearance, while you are in Settings
Theme is under Settings → Account → Appearance: System, Light, or Dark. The sun/moon button in the topbar is a quick light↔dark flip when you just want the other one now.
Quick answers
Why did my in-app alert settings not carry over to my other computer?
The in-app switches are stored per browser. The e-mail switches are stored on your account and do follow you.
Can I get an e-mail when a copy fails?
Copy-execution failures raise an in-app toast but are not e-mailed: during an active session they can be frequent, and an inbox is the wrong place for them. The seven alerts in the table above are the e-mailed ones.
I unsubscribed by accident. Can I get them back?
Yes. The unsubscribe link turns every alert e-mail off in one click; Settings → Notifications turns them back on individually.
I set a limit but the monitor says "no live P&L".
Limits are checked against the day P&L your broker publishes. An account whose broker publishes none cannot be evaluated, so the limit cannot fire, and the app says so rather than showing a reassuring blank. See daily loss limits and profit targets.
If the app crashes, will I get an alert about it?
No, and nothing could: the app is what sends alerts. Use an external uptime check on the site if that matters to you.
Where do I see alerts I missed?
The alerts bell in the topbar keeps recent in-app alerts. E-mails and Telegram messages are, of course, wherever you received them.
